Twenty seven leading Certified B Corporations across eight countries and three continents have formed a new coalition seeking to improve the sustainability standards of the beauty industry by creating the B Corp Beauty Coalition....

The coalition’s vision is to deliver ‘beauty for good’ and features leading brands such as The Body Shop, Arbonne, Beauty Kitchen, Oneka and more.

What do you think of The Planet Positive Beauty Guide published by the Sustainable Beauty Coalition in partnership with the British Beauty Council?

It includes a comprehensive list of claims often made by the beauty industry and straightforward descriptions to help consumers understand what to look for (and to avoid) when shopping for beauty products.

We think it is a really good start, but doesn't go quite far enough. Hopefully it will act as a gateway to eco conscious consumers thinking more about WHAT they put on their skin and WHO they choose to buy from.
